We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Assistant Brand Manager to join our local marketing team. This role will focus on co-leading the brand strategy for Connor’s Stout Porter, Somersby, and potentially new brands in the Beyond Beer category. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Brand Manager to shape the brand portfolio strategy and commercial success. The role requires working with agencies and internal teams to ensure alignment across all touchpoints, driving brand growth and commercial success.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Drive Commercial Success: The ideal candidate must be able to develop a sound understanding of the business landscape, staying attuned to market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities. They should have a keen pulse on the portfolio business and demonstrate proactive thinking to ideate and implement effective strategies in response to dynamic changes in the market. The candidate should be able to analyze business data, anticipate challenges, and identify areas for growth, ensuring the brand remains competitive and aligned with both short-term goals and long-term vision.
- Co-Lead Brand Strategy: Partner with the Brand Manager to develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that drive growth and elevate the presence of the brands in your portfolio. Contribute to shaping brand positioning, identifying market opportunities for expansion, and ensuring successful implementation across all channels.
- Brand Activation & Campaign Management: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, events, and activations that promote the brands and increase consumer engagement. The ideal candidate will be creative and resourceful in the ideation of brand recruitment and volume-driving initiatives across various channels. Manage time, resources, and budgets effectively to ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across sales, product development, and trade marketing to ensure alignment on brand strategies, product launches, forecast accuracy and promotional activities.
- Brand Performance Tracking & Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to brand health, social media engagement, market and volume performance. Provide regular reports and insights to optimize ongoing strategies.
- Agency & Partner Management: Collaborate with agencies to ensure brand consistency across digital and offline campaigns, ensuring all content and activations align with the strategic goals and brand identity.
- Market & Consumer Insights & Competitor Analysis: Gather market and consumer insights to guide brand decisions and identify new growth opportunities. Regularly monitor and analyze competitor activities, market trends, and consumer behavior to stay informed of industry developments. Share key findings and best practices across the team to drive brand differentiation, strategic decision-making, and continual growth in the everchanging landscape
- Social Media Strategy & Content Champion: Take ownership of the social media strategy and execution, ensuring the brands have a strong digital presence that resonates with the target audience. Work closely with agencies to produce engaging and innovative content that aligns with the overall brand vision. The candidate must be comfortable challenging the status quo and constantly pushing the agency to think outside the box, adapting to the ever-changing media landscape with creativity and agility.
ARE YOU THE ONE?
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in FMCG or the fast-paced retail industry.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convince multiple stakeholders and drive projects forward.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and social media management tools.
