SINGAPORE, 19 June 2023 – Carlsberg Singapore Pte Ltd (“CSPL”) and its subsidiary Maybev Pte Ltd (“Maybev”) announce the non-renewal of its Distribution Agreement with Asahi Group Holdings Ltd. All parties have mutually agreed not to renew the said agreement and the exclusive distribution of the Asahi brands in Singapore that will be expiring with effect on 31 December 2023.

“We have had a great run with Asahi brands, and it is an amicable parting after having the sole rights to locally sell and distribute the brand for more than 10 years. Having said that, CSPL and Maybev will remain the exclusive distributor of Asahi in Singapore for 2023 and we will continue to support the brand for the rest of this year,” said Caroline Moreau, General Manager of CSPL.

“Following this development, we will continue to drive our premiumisation strategy and we are in the midst of exploring opportunities to expand our premium portfolio to deliver the best drinking experience to our Singaporean consumers,” Moreau added.
